my problem is really only with people saying things like 'this is objectively bad,' 'no one likes this,' etc. it's a big game with lots of operators, there are bound to be a few you don't personally vibe with.

we can't have SWAT-ish Guy In A Mask #47 running around and still have a functional game, nevermind how the design actually looks.Įdit: to clarify, if you're not personally a fan, fine. doc has his white gloves to instantly recognize, warden has his suit and glasses, Ash has her baseball cap and red hair, Grim has his goofy safari hat thing, and Fenrir has his collar. and this is good for the game, because it helps with readability at a glance. this has gotten maybe a bit more prevalent as time has gone on, but even in the early days you have things like Jager wearing an aviation helmet for CQC and Ela's whole getup.

This design is perfectly in line with the established pattern of the game, tactical-looking and maybe based off some real world things but ultimately exaggerated and fictional. hell, he's not even the edgiest op we have, look at fucking Vigil lol. it's not the main focal point of his character, and he's not wholly confined to 'sleek emo assassin boy' because of the chunky collar. and frankly there's not even a problem with edginess, if it's executed well, which I think this is. you're the one who's mad he's not dressed all in black homie. people complaining that it isn't 'tactical' just because he's not wearing something that obscures his face need to remember that that has always been in the game (ash, pulse, cav, buck, etc), and there have even been more fantastical design elements for a long, long time (the earliest one I can think of off the top of my head is echo)Īnd then there's the people who get mad that he's 'edgy' but like. the big collar is a little weird at first but I think it's a cool brutal sci-fi aesthetic, which is basically what siege is now. I really like the design, personally, and I don't see what everyone has against it.
